'Jacks Remain in National Conversation; Receiving Votes in Both Top 25 Polls

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Despite a Week 2 loss, Stephen F. Austin remained in the national conversation receiving votes in each of the two major FCS polls. The 'Jacks totaled 27 points in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and received 22 points in the AFCA Coaches Poll. SFA opens its home schedule this Saturday against Division II Sul Ross State.
ACU, the 'Jacks' Week 2 opponent moved up to #13 in both polls. SLC preseason favorite Incarnate Word holds the #8 ranking in the coaches poll and checks in at #14 in the Stats Perform ranking. At 1-1, Lamar appeared at #24 in the Stats Perform Top 25. Nicholls received votes in both polls, while Southeastern Louisiana received mention in the coaches poll.
