
Jeremiah Walker Signs Free Agent Deal With the Chicago Bears

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Former Lumberjacks defensive back Jeremiah Walker has signed a free agent deal with the Chicago Bears.
Jeremiah spent his entire five-year career as a Lumberjack, totaling 188 total tackles and four interceptions. Walker was a constant in the 'Jacks secondary, amassing at least 27 tackles every season. All four of his career interceptions came in his second season, which tied for the team lead. In 2022, Walker was named to the All-WAC Second Team after another strong season, totaling 34 total tackles and nine passes defended. Last year, he was named as an honorable mention to the 2024 Associated Press (AP) All-American defensive team. He also received Southland First-Team All-Defensive honors last year after totaling 34 tackles and six pass breakups over 12 games.
The Bears will open preseason play against the Miami Dolphins on August 10th. They will kick off the regular season in prime time, hosting the Minnesota Vikings in a Monday night matchup on September 8th.
