Annual Graylan Spring Game Set For April 26th

NACOGDOCHES, TX – The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team will host the fourth annual Graylan Spring Game on Sunday, April 26 at Homer Bryce Stadium.
The 2026 spring game kicks off at 2 p.m. and admission and parking are free for all spectators. Gates will open at 1:00 p.m. and will include a full day of football action. Parking will be available in the Hall 20 parking lot, the SFA commuter lot, and along Hayter Street. The format for the game will be decided closer to kick off.
The annual contest that wraps up the Lumberjacks' spring activities is named in memory of former SFA football player Graylan Spring who passed away on January 21, 2023 from injuries suffered in a car accident the day prior.
The 2026 season will be the eighth for head coach Colby Carthel and the 100th for the SFA football program. The Lumberjacks are coming off of a historic 2025 campaign that saw SFA capture the program's fifth SLC title and first since 2010, while making the program's ninth FCS postseason appearance. That title came behind the program's first eight-win conference season and first perfect finish in league play in 99 seasons. The 'Jacks reached double-digit wins for the fifth time in program history and the 11 victories last fall are the most since the '95 campaign.
