Lumberjack Football Announces Coaching Promotions

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack Football team and Head Coach Colby Carthel announced promotions for Chris Ross, Garrett Graf, Cameron Rogers, and Marcus Trice, as well as the hiring of Andrew Neupert on Thursday afternoon.
Chris Ross will serve as the Offensive Coordinator and SFA football Assistant Head Coach. Ross oversaw an SFA offense that averaged a healthy 35.58 points per game, accumulated 5,182 total yards of offense, and scored 53 touchdowns.
Garrett Graf continues as the Offensive Line coach and has added Offensive Run Game Coordinator to his duties. Graf managed the SFA offensive line that led a Lumberjack rushing attack that totaled 2,193 yards on the ground, averaged 4.5 yards per run, and scored 17 rushing touchdowns.
Cameron Rogers helped coach an SFA linebacking core that saw Josiah Cotton and Jermaine Brown finish first and second on the team in tackles this season and saw the entire linebacking core combine for seven interceptions on the season. Rogers has been named Linebackers coach and Defensive Run Game Coordinator.
Cornerbacks Coach and Defensive Recruiting Coordinator Marcus Trice will also serve as the Defensive Pass Game Coordinator. Trice helped lead an SFA cornerback group that tallied five interceptions and 25 pass breakups on the season, while holding opposing offenses to just 225 passing yards per game last season.
