
Three Ladyjacks Earn Southland Postseason Honors

FRISCO, Texas- The Southland Conference announced postseason honors for women's basketball, Saturday afternoon. Three Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks earned their spot onto three of the postseason teams.
Senior, Faith Blackstone earned a spot on All-Southland First Team. Blackstone has been a professional scorer for the Ladyjacks all season. She leads the team and is second in the conference with 478 points and an average of 15.4 points per game. Blackstone also is second on the team with a 48.4 field goal percentage and free throw percentage at 75.9. She leads the conference in made free throws with 132 and is currently 8th all-time in made free throws in a single season in SFA history. Blackstone is second on the team with 192 rebounds, 69 assists, and 54 steals. She set her Division I career-high in points with 26 against San Diego State, in rebounds with 11 against ETAMU and Incarnate Word, in assists with five against Nicholls, and made free throws with 11 against Nicholls, San Diego State, and TAMUCC. She was named SLC Player of the Week on February 3rd.
Junior, Ashlyn Traylor-Walker earned a spot on All-Southland Second Team. Traylor-Walker has been a standout in her first season as a Ladyjack. She is second on the team with 425 points and averages 13.7 points per game. Traylor-Walker is also second on the team with a 45.1 field goal percentage, and a 75.2 free throw percentage. She tied her career high with 27 points against Colorado State and set a new career high in assists with 10 against UTRGV. She also passed 1,000 career points against Samford in November. Traylor-Walker and Blackstone are the only two Ladyjacks to have more than 100 made free throws this season. She leads the team and the conference with 145 assists and is ranked 38th nationally. Defensively, Traylor-Walker leads the 'Jacks with 71 steals and is first in the conference and 35th in the nation. She is also third on the team with 168 rebounds. Traylor-Walker set a new career high with four blocks against San Diego State and has tied her career high with five steals three times this season. Traylor-Walker was named SLC Player of the Week on February 17th.
Senior, Trinity Moore earned a spot on the Southland All-Defensive Team. Moore has made her presence felt this season for the 'Jacks. She leads the team with 203 rebounds. Moore is third on the team with 357 points and averages 11.5 points per game. She leads the team with a 52.7 field goal percentage and 42 blocks where she is second in the conference and 74th nationally. She set a new career-highs with 17 rebounds against TAMUCC, four assists twice this season, four steals twice this season, four blocks twice this season, and four three-pointers against Southeastern.
The Ladyjacks have earned the No. 3 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament and will await the winner of UTRGV/Nicholls on Tuesday, March 11th at 1:30 p.m.
