Vidlak, Demmings and Alvarado among top efforts in the 'Land during Week 10
FRISCO, Texas - A trio of Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks were recognized by the Southland Conference on Monday for their Week 10 efforts in SFA's win over UTRGV. Sam Vidlak, Charles Demmings and Carlos Alvarado were all named honorable mention players of the week in their respective phases of the game.
Vidlak - SLC Honorable Mention Offensive Player of the Week
Vidlak completed 25 of 32 passing (78%) for 203 yards and two touchdowns in three quarters of play…His yardage total moved him into tenth place on the program's all-time passing yards list as a Lumberjack…Vidlak and Kylon Harris connected for the seventh time this season and for the 15th time in the last two seasons…
Demmings - SLC Honorable Mention Defensive Player of the Week
Demmings picked off an opening drive pass from UTRGV's Eddie Lee Marburger…Aided the SFA defense in holding one of the nation's highest scoring offenses and the SLC's top total offense to 17 second half points and just 49 total yards of offense at the half...
Alvarado - SLC Honorable Mention Special Teams Player of the Week
Alvarado connected on all five extra point attempts and made FGs of 30 and 29 to add to the 27-0 halftime lead...His 29 yarder was a fire drill FG executed as the clock hit zeros to end the first half...
