Four pre-6:00 PM starts highlight Homer Bryce Slate as 100th season commences
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Kickoff times for Stephen F. Austin's six home games for the program's 100th season this fall have been announced. Highlighting the Homer Bryce Stadium slate are four games that are scheduled to start prior to 6 p.m. The full home slate with kickoff times and themes are below.
Sept. 5 – East Texas A&M | 100th Home Opener | 7 p.m.
Sept. 26 – Northeastern State | Family Weekend | 5 p.m.
Oct. 3 – Incarnate Word | 5 p.m.
Oct. 24 – Southeastern Louisiana | Homecoming | 5 p.m.
Oct. 31 – Houston Christian | Halloween | 2 p.m.
Nov. 19 – Northwestern State | Battle of the Chief | 6 p.m.
The 2026 season will be the eighth for head coach Colby Carthel and the 100th for the SFA football program. The Lumberjacks are coming off a historic 2025 campaign that saw SFA capture the program's fifth SLC title and first since 2010, while making the program's ninth FCS postseason appearance. That title came behind the program's first eight-win conference season and first perfect finish in league play in 99 seasons. The Jacks reached double-digit wins for the fifth time in program history, and the 11 victories last fall are the most since the '95 campaign.
