Former WAC foes tangle in post-Turkey Day tilt inside College Park Center
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin men's basketball returns to action on Saturday afternoon as former Western Athletic Conference foe UT Arlington awaits as the 'Jacks look to remain unbeaten in the Lone Star State. Tip-off from inside College Park Center is set for 2 p.m. The action will be streamed live on ESPN+ and additional live coverage links are available at www.SFAjacks.com.

Keon Thompson drove inside from near the top of the key, drew an immediate double with backside help, spun and delivered a tight helper to Narit Chotikavanic who sank his sixth three-point attempt of the night; this one with .6 seconds remaining as the 'Jacks completed a second-half comeback by outscoring host Pepperdine by 11 points in the final twenty of a 63-60 victory on Friday night inside Firestone Fieldhouse.
Chotikavanic's three-pointer capped a 7-0 Lumberjack run over the final 1:47 of play as SFA bookended the second half with scoring runs. The 'Jacks led 53-49, its largest lead of the game, at the 5:31 mark of the second half due to a triple try from Chotikavanic on a helper from Chrishawn Christmas. Just over two and a half minutes later, Christmas found Chotikavanic again as a fast break trifecta found net to even the game at 56 with 3:03 left.

An exhibition edition of the hardwood version of the Battle of the Piney Woods took place in Houston on October 25 and it was the Lumberjacks that outlasted their Conference USA opposition in overtime beating longtime foe Sam Houston State 105-100 in the extra period. SFA shot over 51% from the floor, withstood a 59-point second-half effort by the Bearkats who erased a 15-point deficit at the intermission and used a 43-point outburst, including a perfect 19-of-19 from the stripe, by Thompson to claim the unofficial victory in a series that was first contested in 1925.
