Former WAC foes tangle in post-Turkey Day tilt inside College Park Center

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin men's basketball returns to action on Saturday afternoon as former Western Athletic Conference foe UT Arlington awaits as the 'Jacks look to remain unbeaten in the Lone Star State. Tip-off from inside College Park Center is set for 2 p.m. The action will be streamed live on ESPN+ and additional live coverage links are available at www.SFAjacks.com.

LAST TIME OUT
Keon Thompson drove inside from near the top of the key, drew an immediate double with backside help, spun and delivered a tight helper to Narit Chotikavanic who sank his sixth three-point attempt of the night; this one with .6 seconds remaining as the 'Jacks completed a second-half comeback by outscoring host Pepperdine by 11 points in the final twenty of a 63-60 victory on Friday night inside Firestone Fieldhouse.

Chotikavanic's three-pointer capped a 7-0 Lumberjack run over the final 1:47 of play as SFA bookended the second half with scoring runs. The 'Jacks led 53-49, its largest lead of the game, at the 5:31 mark of the second half due to a triple try from Chotikavanic on a helper from Chrishawn Christmas. Just over two and a half minutes later, Christmas found Chotikavanic again as a fast break trifecta found net to even the game at 56 with 3:03 left.

First-year 'Jack Narit Chotikavanic has proven an immediate impact for SFA through six games
The Plano, Texas native ranks 12^th nationally in three-pointers per game with 3.83 and holds a top 50 three-point percentage nationally at 46.9%
His 23 total three-pointers made are inside the top 35 in DI and he has made multiple three-pointers in each of his last five games
Among his six games played, all off the bench, Chotikavanic hit a go-ahead three with less than a second remaining to complete SFA's comeback in the win over Pepperdine
In SFA's hard-fought home victory over ACU, he shot 80% from beyond-the-arc becoming the first 'Jack since 2017, the second since 2000 and just the fifth all-time, to hit eight three-pointers in a game
- He hit 5-of-7 from range in the first half against the Wildcats and netted all three of his attempts in the final twenty minutes
- His eight made threes are currently tied for the most by a player in the Southland Conference this season
Chotikavanic has scored in double figures in four games, including in his last three games of which includes 20-point efforts against ACU and Pepperdine

AXES SHARPENED IN PINEY WOODS BATTLE
An exhibition edition of the hardwood version of the Battle of the Piney Woods took place in Houston on October 25 and it was the Lumberjacks that outlasted their Conference USA opposition in overtime beating longtime foe Sam Houston State 105-100 in the extra period. SFA shot over 51% from the floor, withstood a 59-point second-half effort by the Bearkats who erased a 15-point deficit at the intermission and used a 43-point outburst, including a perfect 19-of-19 from the stripe, by Thompson to claim the unofficial victory in a series that was first contested in 1925.
