
Ladyjacks Suffer First Loss at Louisiana Tech

RUSTON, La. – Stephen F. Austin women's basketball suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday afternoon as Louisiana Tech defeated the Ladyjacks 93-66 behind five players in double figures. SFA moves to 4-1, while La Tech improves to 3-2.
The Ladyjacks trailed by just four at the end of the first quarter, but Louisiana Tech outscored SFA by a dozen points in the final ten minutes of the first half to carry a 16-point advantage into the intermission.
SFA shot 71.4% from the floor in the third quarter sinking three of five shots from beyond-the-arc but managed to gain just a point on the host's lead as La Tech led 67-52 entering the final ten minutes.
