
Ladyjacks Add Three to the 2026-27 Roster

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin women's basketball program signed three student-athletes for the 2026-27 season.
Alex Crouse: 5-8, Guard
Alex currently attends St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kansas. She is a two-time Kansas State Champion in 2023 and 2025. During the 2023 title run she was the leading scorer on the team and in the 2025 title run she led all scorers in the tournament by averaging 23.0 points per game. In terms of scoring, Alex has recorded 950 career points which is top ten in school history. She scored 423 points in the 2024-25 season which is the sixth most in a single season in school history. Alex has the third most career three-point field goals in school history and has shot .409 from beyond the arc in her career and .556 from the floor. She earned All-League honors in her first three season including First-Tema honors in 2025. Alex also earned All-State recognition first three seasons, including First Team 5A Kansas Basketball Coaches Association, First Team 2025 5A Girls by Sports in Kansas, and "Top 15 in State" by KSHSAA Covered. During her summers she played Nike EYBL for Missouri Phenom on their 15u, 16u, and 17u teams.
Katie Fox: 5-10, Guard
Katie currently attends Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio. As a freshman she was named Practice Player of the Year, First Team All-GMC, Special Mention All-State and Honorable Mention for All-Southwest Ohio. She was also the assist leader in GMC and broke the school record for the most points scored in a game by a freshman with 32. In her sophomore year, Katie was named First Team All-GMC, Second Team All Southwest Ohio, Honorable Mention All-State. As a junior, she earned First Team All-GMC, First Team All-Southwest Ohio, Second Team All-State, and was the assist leader in the GMC. She was named to the All-Star Game her sophomore and junior years and won the firebird award all three years. Currently she is 10 points from 1,000 career points and is seven assists away from breaking the career assists school record.
Braylee Winfrey: 5-9, Guard
Braylee currently attends Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama. She is a two-time 5A conference champion with Lake Hamilton High School in Pearcy, Arkansas and a 7A area and district champion with Auburn High School. As a sophomore, Braylee was named to the 5A South All-Conference and All-State team. During her junior year at Auburn High School, she was named First Team All-Area and 7A All-State Team. Braylee also was an ASHAA North-South All-Star Champion and an EYBL Nike National Champion. Last season she was ranked 28th in Alabama in points per game, fourth in District 7A, and second in 7A Area 4.
