'Jacks on Cusp of Top 25

SFA Football receives votes for fourth-consecutive week, nearing inclusion into national rankings
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin football finds itself on the cusp of cracking into the national top 25 of both major polls following a convincing road win at then #20/RV Incarnate Word. SFA earned an additional 22 points in the AFCA FCS Top 25 Coaches Poll from its 11 received last week and recorded 43 more points to sit at 97 total in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 rankings. If the polls extended out, the 'Jacks would rank 28th in the AFCA rankings and hold the 27th ranking in the media listing.
Four Southland Conference teams are receiving votes in the AFCA rankings, while Lamar moved up one spot to #24 nationally. Lamar held at #20 in the Stats Perform rankings with the 'Jacks receiving the second-most votes of any team not inside the Top 25.
