Cross Country Travels to Houston to Compete in Rice Invitational

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's cross country teams head to Houston, Texas to compete in the Rice Invitational.
The race will take place at the Rice Intramural Field. The women will get started at 6:20 P.M. for a 2.4 mile race. The men will start at 6:50 P.M. for a 3.2 mile race.
There will be 13 teams at the meet including Houston Christian, Louisiana Tech, Loyola-New Orleans, North American (W), Northwestern State, Prairie View A&M (W), Rice, St. Thomas (TX), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas Southern, Victoria College and SFA
"We're very excited about the opportunity to run at Rice this weekend," said coach Rob Hansen. "We've been to this meet a few times so the returners know what to expect in terms of the course and competition. The guys have had a few weeks to train and get a little stronger and the ladies have been racing consistently each week, so it'll be interesting to see how both groups respond to the differences in philosophy."
