NACOGDOCHES, Texas- As part of the preparations for the 2024 home football season, Stephen F. Austin Athletics announced that 2024 Football Season Tickets are on sale now to the general public . The Lumberjacks home schedule features six games at Homer Bryce Stadium including four United Athletic Conference games.
The 2024 season marks the sixth season with Head Coach Colby Carthel at the helm, and is set to kick-off in Nacogdoches, Texas on Saturday, August 31 when they host North American University at Homer Bryce Stadium. It's the first of four scheduled non-conference games this season.
Stephen F. Austin closes their non-conference schedule when they return home to host the University of Northern Colorado Bears on Sept. 21 at Homer Bryce Stadium. It's the first part of a home-and-home series between the two schools.
This past November, the UAC announced it expanded the eight-game football schedule for the 2024 campaign. The competition slate features four home games and four road games for each of the league's 10 member institutions.
The Lumberjacks begin their UAC schedule hosting Eastern Kentucky University on Saturday, September 28 and celebrating Parents Weekend.
SFA has a bye week on October 19 and then closes their October schedule on Saturday, October 26 hosting the Utah Tech Trailblazers. The game is marked as the annual Homecoming game for SFA.
The 2024 season concludes with back-to-back UAC games. SFA will face Tarleton on Saturday, November 16 and the following week plays host to North Alabama on Saturday, November 23 at Homer Bryce Stadium.
