
Ladyjacks Set to Compete in USBC Sectionals

ADDISON, Illinois- The Stephen F. Austin Women's Bowling Team will travel to Illinois this weekend to compete in the USBC Sectionals. Friday the 8th will feature the ISC's with eight of SFA's bowlers competing, and the ITC's following on the 9th and 10th.
Format and Schedule:
The format for the sectionals will feature individual matches for the Intercollegiate Singles Championships (ISC) on Friday, March 8th which will showcase eight of the Ladyjacks bowling team. Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) will start on Saturday, March 9th with 32 games then wrapping up on Sunday, March 10th with 32 more games.

Crystal George had a strong appearance in the ISC last year as she finished the qualifying round with a total pin count of 1,125 and defeated Breana Chewens of Stony Brook in round 1 of nationals 585-583, before falling to Paige Wagner of Wichita State in round 2 of nationals. Crystal finished third in the ISC Sectional Qualifier in Dallas with a total pin count of 1,178 over five games averaging 235.6 pins/game.
Last year out of the top four teams that qualified for sectionals, the Ladyjacks qualified for nationals by finishing second in the Dallas sectional with a pin total of 9034. At Nationals, the Ladyjacks proceeded to defeat Wisconsin Whitewater 4-3 with a 3-1 comeback in round 1, followed by defeating North Carolina A&T 4-2 in round 2, before falling 4-2 to 2023 ITC National Champion McKendree in the fifth round.
