Ladyjacks Split Day One of the 2025 NCAA Regionals

ARLINGTON, TX - SFA split on the first day of the 2025 NCAA Regionals. They will face Sam Houston at 9:00 AM CST tomorrow for a spot in the regional final against Jacksonville State.

In the first match of the day, it was the fifth match up of the season against Sam Houston in a Piney Woods NCAA showdown.
Savannah Taillon led the Ladyjacks with a 237 in the loss of the traditional game 1,002-1,075. SFA would storm baker in the baker match 1,053-912 to force the best-of-seven match. The Ladyjacks would pull away, winning 4-1 and advancing to the Winners Bracket.
In the second mega-match of the day, SFA would take on the #1 seeded and #2 in the nation Jacksonville State. Savannah would lead the Ladyjacks again, having a pin total of 255. SFA would fall 1,006-1,023. Jacksonville State would then take the baker game 985-1,056 and advance to the regional final.
