Two Lumberjacks Place First at Clyde Hart Invitational

WACO, Texas- Stephen F. Austin competed in their second track meet of the season.  SFA traveled to the Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium to take part in the Clyde Hart Invitational.  The field consisted of multiple Power Five schools.  The Lumberjacks had two first place finishes.

After having a successful indoor season, Nathan Kapel continued his dominant first season as a collegiate athlete.  Kapel ran in the men's 1500m and placed 2nd with a time of 3:50.90.

Jarvis Anderson placed 1st in the men's triple jump.  The multi-sport freshman grabbed the first-place finish after jumping 15.21m.

The Lumberjacks grabbed their second first place finish of the day after Cole Szedga finished 1st in the men's javelin.  He had a throw of 61.12m.

Montana Piper finished as the women's lone top three finish.  She placed 3rd in the women's javelin, with her throw of 43.99m.

The Lumberjack's next time to compete will be the Texas Relays on March 27th.  The relays will be hosted by the University of Texas and will be a three-day meet.
