
Ladyjacks Secure the No. 3 Seed in WAC Tournament

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Western Athletics Conference releases the bracket for the conference tournament earlier today. SFA secured the third seed earning 1.399 points in the WAC Resume Seeding System.
The Ladyjacks will play the winner of the first round matchup between #6 Abilene Christian and #7 Tarleton State in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 14th at 2:30 p.m. PT (4:30 p.m. CT) at the Orleans Arena. The winner of this quarterfinal matchup will face #2 Grand Canyon in the semifinals on Friday, March 15th at 2:30 p.m. PT (4:30 p.m. CT).
SFA enters the tournament after going 1-1 on their Utah road trip where they defeated Southern Utah in a thrilling 26-point comeback, 81-74 last Thursday, but then dropped the final game of the regular season to the Utah Tech Trailblazers, 69-61. WAC Player of the Year Candidate Kurstyn Harden leads the way with 534 points and 233 rebounds. Sophomore sensation, Kyla Deck follows Harden with 323 points and is second on the team with 80 assists and 69 steals. Destini Lombard is third on the team with 311 points, and first on the team with 120 assists and 80 steals.
All games will be aired on ESPN+ except for the championship game which will be on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. PT (12:30 p.m. CT) on ESPNU. Stu Paul will be on the call on Q107.7 for all the Ladyjack games.
