
SFA Continues Roadtrip with Matchup Against CBU

RIVERSIDE, California- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks will travel to Riverside, CA where they will take on the California Baptist Lancers at the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center. Tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m. CT.
The Lumberjacks and Lancers both have a 14-13 overall record and are 7-9 in WAC action and tied for 6th place with Abilene Christian University (ACU). This is the third straight road game for the Lumberjacks. Both teams are coming off conference losses and will look to pick up momentum leading into their last three games.
Series History:
Stephen F. Austin is currently 2-1 against California Baptist in the series history. Until earlier this season, SFA was undefeated against CBU since entering the Western Athletic Conference. The 'Jacks are averaging 80 points in the history of the series, with their biggest margin of victory coming in an 80-58 victory over the Lancers.
SFA will look to split the regular season series after California Baptist defeated Stephen F. Austin in William R. Johnson Coliseum earlier this season. Trailing 81-79 with three seconds left on the game clock, the Lumberjacks in-bounded the ball to redshirt-senior guard A.J. Cajuste. Cajuste drove to the basket with a chance to tie the game at 81-81 but was met with contact on his layup attempt and the ball was rebounded by the Lancers to secure the 81-79 win.
