Ladyjacks Finish Seventh at Islander Classic

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks finished up at the 2024 Islander Classic today. SFA finished 7th out of eleven teams shooting +109 over par and 973 total strokes.
The 'Jacks were led by Sloane Bennett's 13th overall finish. She shot +19 over par with 235 total strokes. Avree Fields (28th), Jessica Aguirre (T34th), Brooke Dishman (T46), and Sydni Leung (T49) also placed within the tournament's top 50.
Sloanne Bennett finished the final day with her lowest score of the tournament (75) and was able to place 13th. Avree Fields finished +28 over par in the tournament with her lowest score coming in the final round (77). Jessica Aguirre also shot a 77 in the final round which was her lowest of the tournament and finished +31 over par. Brooke Dishman finished +37 over par with her lowest score of the tournament coming in round three (80). Sydni Leung finished +38 over par with her lowest score coming in round one (81).
The Ladyjacks will be back in action on March 11th. They will compete at the HCU Women's Husky Intercollegiate. The tournament will be hosted by Houston Christian and will take place from March 11th through March 12th.
