Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Bentwater Intercollegiate

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin men's golf team finished fourth overall at the Bentwater Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Texas. The Lumberjacks finished +26 over par with a team total of 878 strokes through the three rounds of play.
Junior Cameron Hubbard was the top finisher for the 'Jacks finishing in 3rd place at -4 under par with a total of 209 strokes for the tournament. Senior Jaxon Griffith followed Hubbard, finishing tied for 8th place at +4 over par with 217 strokes on the tournament. Senior Rick Frauenberger finished tied for 46th place at +13 over par and a total of 226 strokes on the tournament. Junior Matthew Hewitt finished tied for 59th at +17 over par and a total of 230 strokes on the tournament. Finally, senior Jake Smelser finished tied for 63rd at +19 over par and a total of 232 strokes on the tournament.
The men will be back in action February 26th-27th at the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate in New Orleans, Louisiana.
