NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Basketball Team (2-0, 0-0) returns home for a short two-game homestand that begins with a game against the visiting Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters (3-0, 0-0) on Saturday night at the Sawmill.
Ladyjacks at a Glance:
The Ladyjacks will look to keep momentum on their side and remain undefeated on Saturday as they will be on the heels of an impressive come-from-behind 15-point victory over ACU on the road to improve to 2-0 on the young season. At the beginning of the third quarter, the Wildcats held a 49-34 lead, however, some relentless grit and fight from SFA saw the 'Jacks swipe a 68-65 victory away from the ACU Wildcats. Faith Blackstone hit a jumper with 37 seconds to put SFA ahead, while Avery VanSickle iced the game away for the Ladyjacks by draining a pair of free-throws with 14 seconds left.

The Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters will also look to continue their perfect season on Saturday night as they carry a 3-0 record into the Sawmill. The Lady Techsters are fresh off a win against a WAC opponent as well as they claimed a 71-60 victory over the Mavericks on Sunday night at home. Prior to their latest win over UTA, the Lady Techsters also claimed wins over South Aalbama and opened their season with a nail-biting 53-31 win over Nicholls at home.

Avery VanSickle has been a scoring machine for SFA this season as she currently averages a healthy 20.0 points/game and has knocked down a team-high nine three-pointers through two games. Ashlyn Traylor-Walker has formed a solid scoring duo with VanSickle with her 14.5 points/game while leading the team with seven assists on the year. Meanwhile, Faith Blackstone, Trinity Moore, and Key Roseby round out the top scorers for the Ladyjacks as they all average over 10 points/game for SFA.
The Lady Techsters carry a three-way scoring attack on offense that is led by Jianna Morris who averages a team-high 16.7 points/game.
