Format and Schedule
The 14th Kat Klash will follow the standard 13-match rotation this weekend at the Historic Emerald Bowl in Houston, Texas. There will be five baker matches on Friday and total pinfall will determine the winners of each head-to-head match. One position round and four traditional matches will follow on Saturday with pinfall again determining the winners. The total pins from the first 10 matches of the tournament will determine seeding for bracket play on Sunday. The bracket matches will be contested in a best-of-seven Baker format.

Saturday - One Position Round and Four Traditional Matches
Sunday - Three best-of-seven Baker matches
SFA will get their first look at the majority of the Conference USA teams this weekend as five of the conference's ten teams outside of the Ladyjacks will be in action. SFA will see #2 Arkansas State, #7 Louisiana Tech, hosts and #8 Sam Houston, and #13 Tulane.

Day One
Starting off hot in their five Baker Matches, SFA would pick up their first win in dominate fashion, beating RV UAB by 200+ pins and passing 1,100+ pins, winning 1,147-886. They would go on to win all five matches, including wins over #3 Youngstown State and #12 Mount Saint Mary's, and placing in the top five after day one.

Day Two
Continuing picking up high scoring games, the Ladyjacks would pass 1,000+ twice in the traditional format. Drawing three nationally ranked teams including #5 Nebraska and #1 Jacksonville State, SFA's scoring would help them be in the top five teams. Brystal Beyer led the Ladyjacks with the highest pin total and scoring average with 1,059 pins and a 211.80 average, putting her 18th in the 174 bowler field.

Before bracket play could be solidified, an additional Baker Match was played due to the size of the field. SFA drew #10 Duquesne in the one off game.

Ladyjacks would solidify the #5 seed into bracket play. They finished with a pin total of 11,017 and a 200.3 average per game. After handling Conference USA opponent Louisiana Tech 4-2, SFA would fall to Youngstown 1-4, wrapping up their time in Florida 6th overall.
