
Ashlyn Traylor Named SLC Preseason Second Team; Ladyjacks Ranked Fourth

FRISCO, Texas- The Southland Conference announced the preseason women's basketball conference teams and poll, Thursday afternoon.
Ashlyn Traylor, a junior guard/forward from Franklin, Indiana, was named to the Preseason All-SLC Second Team. She started in 31 of Radford's 33 games last season and played 1045 minutes. Last season Traylor averaged 16.00 points per game, 6.12 rebounds per game while recording 528 points, 202 rebounds, 78 assists, 56 steals, and 26 blocks. Traylor also shot 73.81 percent from the free-throw line. She scored a career-high 27 points in the game against High Point, who won the regular season title in the Big South last season. Traylor was an integral part of the Radford squad who played in the Big South Championship game last season.
The Ladyjacks were picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll. Lamar led the way with 19 first-place votes followed by Southeastern Louisiana with five first-place votes, then Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, then SFA.
