
Lumberjacks Sweep Southland Conference Player of the Week Awards

FRISCO, Texas- After a pair of shutout wins, SFA was awarded Southland Offensive, Defensive, and Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning.
Offensive Player of the Week: Alex Bayouth, SFA – Fr. – F – Edmond, Okla. (Edmond Memorial High School)
Bayouth has made herself a staple in the Lumberjack lineup as a freshman. She recorded both game-winning goals against top-seeded Southeastern and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Bayouth scored three goals, recorded six points, and three shots on goal for a 1.000 shot percentage. Overall this weekend she averaged 1.50 shots and 1.50 goals per game on the second-highest-scoring offense in NCAA.
Defensive Player of the Week: Ella Morgan, SFA – Jr. – D – Allen, Texas (Allen High School)
Morgan played all 180 minutes in SFA's shutout wins over top-seeded Southeastern and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She started in both matches and recorded three shots while anchoring the defensive line for the Lumberacks who recorded back-to-back shutout wins. She has played 1,048 minutes this season and has been an integral part of the SFA's seven shutouts.
Goalkeeper of the Week: Sierra McCluer – Fr. – GK – Katy, Texas (Cinco Ranch High School)
McCluer has started the past four games for the Lumberjacks, including their back-to-back shutout wins over Southeastern and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She played 166 minutes and recorded one save with a 1.000 save percentage in those contests. McCluer earned her third and fourth career victories and has only allowed one goal this season.
