Izabella Ortiz Named WAC Player of the Week

ARLINGTON, Texas- Stephen F. Austin sophomore middle blocker, Izabella Ortiz was named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Ortiz, a sophomore middle blocker from Flower Mound, Texas, recorded 13 kills in SFA's sweeps of UTRGV and UTA. She recorded a hitting percentage of .542 and led the team with six blocks in both matches. Her 12 blocks over the past two matches brings her season total up to 79 which ranks her third in the nation in total blocks.
