Ladyjacks Finish 7th at Remax Prime Properties Bearkat Invitational

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Ladyjacks golf team competed at the Remax Prime Properties Invitational on Monday the 25th and Tuesday the 26th in Huntsville, Texas. As a team the Ladyjacks finished seventh overall with senior Sloane Bennett having the highest finish for the Lumberjacks, tying for 10th place.
Sloane Bennett finished +7 over par with a total of 149 for the tournament and was the highest finisher for the team. Sydni Leung shot +14 over par on the weekend with a total of 156 and tied for 31st. Avree fields finished tied for 35th place at +15 over par and a total score of 157 over the two days. Jessica Aguirre finished at +17 over par with a total of 159 on the weekend. Valerie Routzong rounded out the five-person team tied for 41st at +21 over par and a final score of 163 over the two days.
Two Ladyjacks Kinley Pessel and Hannah Johnston also competed as individuals in the tournament. Pessel finished 54th overall and was +34 over par for the tournament and a final score of 173. Johnston finished 58th for the tournament and was +36 over par and had a final score of 178.
The Ladyjacks are back in action October 2-3 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the Southern Illinois University Tournament.
