Ladyjacks Finish Second Overall at Saluki Invitational

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks golf team competed at the SIU Saluki Invitational October 2-3 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and finished second overall as a team. SFA finished the tournament at +59 over par and a final score of 923. Senior Sloane Bennett had the highest finish tying for fourth place. The Ladyjacks also had four top 25 finishers in Sloane Bennett, Valerie Routzong, Sydni Leung, and Jessica Aguirre.
Sloane Bennett finished at +7 over par with a total of 223 and was the highest finisher for the team. Valerie Routzong also recorded a top 20 finish in the tournament, taking 15th place overall shooting +15 over par and a final score of 231. Sydni Leung finished tied for 17th shooting finishing at +17 over par and a final score of 233. Jessica Aguirre finished tied for 21st place finishing at +21 over par and a final score of 237. Hannah Johnston finished in 42nd place at +45 over par and a final score of 261 for the tournament.
The Ladyjacks are back in action Monday October 9th in Glen Rose, Texas at the Texan Match Play event.
