
Ielan Bradley and Haley Hoang Headline 2023 Preseason WAC Awards as Player and Libero of the Year

Ladyjacks Ranked First in Preseason Coaches' Poll
ARLINGTON, Texas - Ielan Bradley and Haley Hoang headline the 2023 Preseason WAC Awards as Player and Libero of the Year.
After winning the 2022 WAC Championship and earning an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament, SFA heads into this year as the WAC favorites, placing first in the Preseason Coaches poll and receiving nine of the eleven first place votes.
Graduate Student Ariana Pagan also receives recognition earning a spot on the Preseason All-WAC team along with Bradley and Hoang.
The Bradley File
Ielan Bradley comes into her fourth year of playing as one of the most dominate players in the WAC. Last year, Bradley tallied a team-high 368 kills; 54 digs; 74 block assists and five solo accounted for a team-high 410 points. She was named the WAC Tournament MVP, the WAC All-Tournament Team, and First Team All-Conference. On a national level, Bradley Earned AVCA Southwest All-Region Honorable Mention. She also earned a spot on the SMU All-Tournament Team, and the SFA All-Tournament Team twice.
The Hoang File
Haley Hoang returns for her second year with SFA Volleyball. Transferring in from Northwestern State, Hoang had an immediate impact with the Ladyjacks. Crossing over 1,000 career digs with 584 total (33rd in the nation), and averaging 22.1 digs (22nd in the nation). Hoang also finished with 130 assists which was the third highest on the team last season. Her 584 digs last season is the tenth most a Ladyjack has recorded in a single season. Hoang was named Libero of the Year at the end of last season, and earned a spot on the WAC All-Tournament team as well as Second Team All-Conference. She was also named WAC Defensive Player of the Week three times, earned a spot on the SMU All-Tournament Team, and the SFA All-Tournament Team.
The Pagan File
Ariana Pagan returns to the Ladyjacks for her fifth season and looks to continue her legacy. Pagan finished second on the team last year with 288 kills and accounted for 335.5 points. She also tallied 301 digs last season and crossed the 1,000 career digs threshold like Hoang. Pagan was an excellent server last season, recorded 30 aces finishing second on the team behind Hoang. Pagan earned a spot on the Second Team All-WAC, was named WAC Offensive Player of the Week twice, and the SFA All-Tournament team twice.
