
SFA Women’s Tennis Releases 2024 Spring Schedule

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Tennis Team released their 2024 spring schedule on Friday afternoon. The schedule for the tennis team will feature a total of 22 matches, will see SFA play at home on 13 different occasions including an eight-game homestand, and seven conference matches.
The 2024 Women's Tennis season kicks off with three straight road matches to begin the season. The Ladyjacks begin the season at Arkansas State on Saturday, January 20th in a late afternoon match. SFA will get a week between matches as they will then hit the road to square off against University of Louisiana at Monroe on Saturday, January 27th for a morning matchup.
The first weekend in February proves to be a busy one for the Ladyjacks as they will travel start off by traveling to University of Texas at Tyler on Friday February 2nd to finish off their three-game road trip to begin the season. The 'Jacks will then return home to kick off an eight-game homestand that will start with a crazy first weekend of February as they will host their first home match of the season against New Mexico State on Saturday, February 3rd at 12:00 p.m. before then hosting another home match against Grambling State on Sunday, February 4th at 2:00 p.m.
The Ladyjacks will get some time to breathe following the home opening weekend series as they will have five days between matches before hosting another pair of weekend home matches. They will kick off another home series as they will play host to Jackson State on Friday, February 9th at 2:00 p.m. before hosting a Sunday morning matchup against University of Louisiana on February 11th that starts at 11:00 a.m.
SFA continues their eight game homestand into mid-February as they will host Lamar University on Friday, February 16th at noon before playing host to Texas State the next day in a Saturday morning matchup at 11:00 a.m. To conclude the lengthy homestand, SFA will host McNeese State at noon on Friday, February 23rd before hosting a rival matchup with Sam Houston on Sunday, February 25th at 1:00 p.m.
The Ladyjacks will then hit the road that same week as they will square off in a midweek matchup at Prairie View A&M in an early afternoon match on Wednesday, February 28th.
SFA will follow up their road match against Prairie View with their longest break of the season as they will return home and not play again until March 8th when they host University of the Incarnate Word at noon. The Ladyjacks will stay busy that weekend as they will then be on the road on Sunday, March 10th when they travel to Northwestern State.
The 'Jacks will return home Friday the week of March 10th as they host University of Texas at El Paso on Friday, March 15th for a noon start matchup.
The Ladyjacks will get a week in between matches after the home match on March 15th as they hit the road to begin WAC Conference Play as they will first travel to Seattle on March 22nd for their first conference match of the season, before immediately hitting the road again to finish the road trip as they travel to Utah to square off against conference rival Utah Tech on Sunday, March 24th.
Stephen F. Austin will return home later that week as they host their first conference of the season when they see UT Arlington at noon on March 28th, before hosting a huge conference match against the GCU Lopes on Saturday, March 30th at 11:00 a.m.
SFA will begin their April schedule on the road as they will stay in-state when they travel to conference opponents Tarleton State on Friday, April 5th before traveling to Abilene Christian University on Sunday, April 7th to finish off their road schedule for the season.
The 'Jacks will get to finish their season at home as they will play host to UTRGV on Sunday, April 14th in an early morning matchup at 10:00 a.m. to conclude the regular season.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, the WAC Championship Tournament is being hosted by UTRGV and will be held in Harlingen, Texas this year at Pendleton Park and will take place from April 18th until April 20th.
