
Ladyjacks Volleyball Adds Eight to 2024 Signing Class

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Volleyball program announced the addition of eight signees in Natalie Guerrero, Kennedy Jones, Sophia Wilson, Molly Cravens, Katherine Holtman, Autumn Jordan, Harley Krause, and Brooklyn Shelton.
Head Coach Debbie Humphreys had this to say about the 2024 signing class, "We are extremely excited about the 2024 recruiting class. Our program has experienced tremendous success over the years & this group will allow us to continue taking steps forward. With the graduation of a large senior class, some of these newcomers will have to figure things out quickly.
She added, "The 2024 class includes some driving & extremely competitive personalities which every team needs. They are also loaded with talent, athleticism and potential. We are looking forward to helping them take their game to another level and seeing what this program can accomplish during their time at SFA."
Natalie Guerrero: 5-6 DS
Natalie attends Trivium Prep Academy and plays for the Revolution Club VB Academy as a defensive specialist. Natalie has been named to both the All-Region and All-Conference teams Natalie also has a pair of impressive personal awards as she has been named Prep VB Co-MVP, as well as over 1,000 career digs during her high school career. Natalie will be pursuing a major in Health Science while attending SFA.
Coach Humphreys said this about Natalie and what she'll bring to SFA, "Natalie is a true competitor who will thrive in our competitive environment. She not only has great ball control skills but is someone who has the personality to drive her team. We expect her to adjust to the speed of Div 1 volleyball very quickly."
Kennedy Jones: 5-11 OH
Kennedy comes to SFA from Langham Creek High School in Harris County, Texas and plays as an Outside Hitter for her club team, the TX Tornados. Kennedy brings a multitude of personal and team awards with her to the Ladyjacks program. She is a dual-sport athlete as she has been named to the All-District Team for both Track and Volleyball. Her volleyball specific awards include the following: Prep Dig Texas Top Performer, Attacker of the Year, TGCA All-Star Team, named to the All-America Watch List, named to the AVCA Phenom Watchlist, while also having numerous All-Tournament selections and an All-Tournament USAV Nationals nomination. Academically, Kennedy has been to the Academic All-District list while also appearing in Vype Magazine. Kennedy will be majoring in Sports Business at SFA.
Coach Humphreys had this to say about what Kennedy will bring to the Ladyjacks, "Kennedy is a very smooth athlete with good size & a great jump. Her high contact point will allow her to score hitting in a wide variety of net zones. She has a 6-rotation game which will continue to develop as she is challenged at a high level every day. We expect Kennedy to make an impact fairly quickly."
Sophia Wilson: 5-7 S
Sophia attends Allen High School, while also playing for Madfrog as her club volleyball team. Sophia has demonstrated an ability to handle being both a student and an athlete as she has numerous awards recognizing her athletic and academic achievements. Academically, Sophia is a part of the National Honor Society while also being named to the All-Academic Team. From an athletic perspective, Sophia has been named Setter of the Year, Team MVP, Female Athlete of the Year, named to 1st Team All-District, while also receiving the Allen Texas Open Tournament MVP and being named a North Texas All-Star. Sophia will be majoring in Business while attending SFA.
This is what Coach Humphreys had to say about Sophia, "Sophia is a gritty competitor who hates to lose & will do everything in her power to keep that from happening. She delivers a quick tempo ball & gets after in on defense. I expect her to adjust to our offensive system quickly & make a positive impact on the team."
Molly Cravens: 6-2 MB/RT
Molly currently attends Round Rock High School while playing for TX Fury as her club team. Molly has an extensive list of accomplishments and awards that include both academic and athletic. Molly has been named to the Academic All-District Team to recognize her work in the classroom. She was named to the AVCA Phenom Watch List, the AVCA All-American Watch List, the Preseason All-Tournament Team, is a Prep Dig Top Texas Rank, and most impressively was named the Lone Star Prep Top ranked hitter and blocker. Molly will be majoring in Business while attending SFA.
Coach Humphreys said the following about Molly and what she'll bring: "Molly has a cannon for an arm & has the ability to play any FR position. We hope to use her to carry a big offensive load on the right. She is another true competitor who works hard and expects the same from her teammates. We are excited for Molly to join us in the fall."
Katherine Holtman: 6-1 Pin/MB
Katherine will come to SFA from Argyle High School and currently plays a number of different positions for her club team, Skyline. Katherine takes her academics just as seriously as her volleyball career as she has an extensive list of awards to recognize her both on and off the court. Katherine is a National Honor Society Member, has been named to the Honor Roll at Argyle High School and is in the top 10% of her class, and has been named to the Academic All-District Team. Meanwhile, her play on the court has not gone unnoticed as she has a multitude of awards to recognize her play. She has been named Team MVP, named to 1st Team All-District, named District Newcomer of the Year, named to the TGCA All-State Team, and was named to the Big D Media 5A 2nd Team All-State. Katherine will be pursuing a major in Biology (Pre-Med) at SFA.
Here's what Coach Humphreys had to say about Katherine: "Katherine is an extremely versatile VB player who can play a variety of positions. She can play any FR position & could also develop into a 6-rotation player. She gives us flexibility to do a variety of things with our roster because she can play multiple positions at a high level."
Autumn Jordan: 6-2 Pin
Autumn is currently attending Bentonville West High School in Centerton Arkansas. Autumn is a pin hitter for her club team Ozark Jrs where she has collected a number of personal awards to showcase her talents. Autumn has been named Player of the Week, as well as Player of the Match during her high school career. In addition to the accolades, Autumn is also a USAV Patriot National Champion. Autumn will be majoring in Kinesiology/Physical Therapy while attending SFA.
This is what Coach Humphreys said about Autumn, "Autumn is an extremely physical pin who we are looking forward to working with. We expect her to really thrive once she is surrounded by loads of talent on a daily basis because she is not afraid to work hard."
Harley Krause: 6-0 OH
Harley comes to the Ladyjacks from Rockwall High School and is currently an outside hitter for her club team, TAV. Harley has earned several awards so far that includes several notable awards. Harley was named to the Volleypalooza All-Tournament Team, has been named to the AVCA Phenom List, was named to the All-District Team, and the JVA Watch List, and was selected to the North TX Region All-Star Championship Program. Haley will be pursuing a major in Biology at SFA.
Coach Humphreys said the following about Harley: "Harley is an extremely skilled 6 rotation OH who can also bring some pace from the service line. She has a bright future ahead of her and we are excited to help her take her game to another level."
Brooklyn Shelton: 5-7 DS
Brooklyn will come to the Pineywoods from Frisco Liberty High School and plays as a defensive specialist for her club team, Dallas Arsenal. Brooklyn has a number of personal awards as well as an impressive personal record she will bring to SFA. Brooklyn has been named to the Academic All-District Team as well as being named to First Team All-District. More impressively, Brooklyn has tallied 1,500 career digs to show off her defensive abilities. Brooklyn will be majoring in Sports Business at SFA.
Here's what Coach Humphreys had to say about Brooklyn: "Brooklyn is another high-level ball control player. She is very natural in serve receive and is extremely scrappy on defense. Brooklyn will battle for playing time and will allow us to keep that scrappiness on defense that SFA VB is known for."
