NACOGDOCHES, Texas. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Basketball team wraps up their season-opening three-game homestand against the UNT Mean Green.

Stephen F. Austin will be looking to bounce back against UNT after a heartbreaking loss to Liberty on Friday night. The Ladyjacks fought relentlessly against the Flames but fell just short of a win in an 84-81 loss to Liberty. The game featured 15 lead changes and another 10 times the score was tied, while neither team had a double-digit lead at any point in the game, as the largest lead belonged to SFA when they led 40-31.
All five Ladyjack starters scored double-digits against the Flames. Kurstyn Harden continues her strong start to the season as she led the team with 23 points and pulled down a team-leading six rebounds. Kyla Deck played both sides of the court for SFA as she finished second on the team with 15 points, while recording a team-high five steals. The Mean Green had won their previous two games by 20 or more points but were unable to overcome a hot start to the game for the Aggies. Despite outscoring A&M in the second half, UNT was unable to recover from a 27-point halftime deficit and ultimately fell 74-55 to the Aggies.
Two players scored in double-digits for UNT as Jaaucklyn Moore led the UNT offense with 16 points while DesiRay Kernal had 12 points, Moore and Kernal both knocked down a pair of three-pointers each against A&M.
