
Ielan Bradley and Debbie Humphreys Named WAC Player and Coach of the Year; Five Ladyjacks Named to All-Conference Teams

ARLINGTON, Texas- The Western Athletic Conference announced postseason volleyball awards Wednesday afternoon. Stephen F. Austin raked in seven honors including Player and Coach of the Year.
Ielan Bradley earned WAC Player of the Year and a spot on the All-WAC First Team after leading the Ladyjack offense with 371 kills, averages 3.47 kills per set, and recorded a .326 hitting clip. She is also a weapon on the net as she is second on the team with 98 blocks. Bradley earned WAC Player of the Week honors four times this season and was named MVP of the SFA Tournament earlier this season. She was the second Ladyjack to record her 1,000th career point and achieved her 1,000th career kill on Senior Day against Utah Valley. In SFA's match against Tulsa earlier this season, she set a career-high with 25 kills in a single match and did so without committing a single attack error.
Head Coach Debbie Humphreys earned Coach of the Year after leading SFA to an undefeated conference season for the first time since 2019 and the first in the WAC since New Mexico State in 2019. The 'Jacks captured their first WAC Regular Season Championship. Earlier this season, Coach Humphreys passed 800 career wins which makes her the 17th coach to do so. She is one of four active coaches with 800 wins and one of two active coaches to earn 800 wins at one institution.
Izabella Ortiz joined teammate Bradley on the All-WAC First Team after leading the WAC in total blocks with 132 blocks and averaged 1.23 blocks per set. She is ranked nationally in both categories; 12th in total blocks and 48th in blocks per set. Ortiz got it done on the offensive side as well recording 236 kills and a .354 hitting clip which ranks her second on the team in both categories. She earned WAC Player of the Week honors twice this season and was named to three All-Tournament teams at the beginning of the season. Ortiz recorded her career-high of eight blocks versus Tulane earlier this season and recorded her second consecutive season with over 100 blocks and kills.
Haley Hoang earned a spot on the All-WAC Second Team after leading the WAC with 434 digs and averaged 4.17 digs per set. Hoang earned WAC Libero of the Week honors twice this season. She also recorded 118 assists which is the most by a non-setter on the team. Hoang also finished second on the team with 31 service aces this season.
Tanishua Joseph got her Ladyjack career off to a hot start and earned a spot on the All-WAC Freshman Team. Joseph has proven herself to be a dual threat on the offensive and defensive side as a second right side behind Bradley. She recorded 213 kills, averaged 2.03 kills per set, and recorded a .278 hitting clip which ranks her fourth on the team in all categories. On the defensive side, Joseph recorded 75 blocks this season including 11 solo blocks. She is fourth on the team in total blocks but third in solo blocks. Joseph set her career-high with 14 kills against Utah Tech and five blocks in three different matches this season.
Fellow freshman Kyanna Creecy joined Joseph on the All-WAC Freshman Team. Even though she only played 33 sets in the regular season, Creecy always stepped up and made an impact in any match she played in. She totaled 44 blocks this season and averaged 1.33 blocks per set. On the offensive side, she recorded 61 kills, averaged 1.85 kills per set, and a .367 hitting clip. Creecy lead the team in hitting percentage and is fifth in kills per set.
