ARLINGTON, Texas- The Western Athletic Conference named Stephen F. Austin pole vaulter, Branson Ellis the WAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Ellis won the Arkansas Invitational last weekend with a mark of 5.60m or 18' 4.5". This mark makes him the leader in the WAC and tied for 4th in the NCAA overall. Ellis is a former national champion and a multiple-time All-American.
