Lumberjacks Ranked No. 18 in Stats Perform FCS Top 25

CHICAGO, Ill. – Stephen F. Austin is ranked No. 18 in the latest STATS Perform FCS Top 25.
The Lumberjacks used a second-half rally to defeat Alcorn State 31-27. The win snapped Alcorn's 13 home-game winning streak and it was the Braves' first home loss since 2018.
SFA will match-up with its second FBS opponent of the season Saturday at Louisiana Tech. The 'Jacks played FBS foe Jacksonville State in Week 0 and will match-up with FBS Sam Houston in Battle of the Pineywoods on October 1.
It's the first time the SFA and La. Tech will play since 2000, which was a 34-31 'Jack overtime win in Ruston.
