DALLAS, Texas - No. 15 Southern Methodist University defeated Stephen F. Austin 2-0 Thursday night in non-conference play. SFA falls to 1-3-1 on the season while SMU goes to 3-0-1.
The Ladyjacks fought hard and held the Mustangs to no goals in the first half. The Mustangs did score in the 59th and 81st minute. Lydia Sattler started for the first time this season and recorded five saves which is a new season high. Four Ladyjacks recorded a shot in this game (Mattie Musser, Kamryn Jiles, Lily Hargrove, and Brianna Farias).
SFA will be back at home for a matchup against Oklahoma State on Thursday, September 8th at 7 p.m.
