
Avery Brittingham Records a Double-Double as SFA Crosses the Century Mark Against Texas Wesleyan

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- Stephen F. Austin defeated Texas Wesleyan, 101-40 Thursday night. SFA improves to 8-2 in non-conference play. This game is an exhibition for TWU, so they stay at 8-1 overall.
The Ladyjacks started the game on a 10-0 scoring run and never looked back. SFA ended the first half with a 32 point lead, 47-15. TWU came out of the locker room and scored the first four points of the second half, but the Ladyjack offense was too much for the Lady Rams as SFA won the game by 61 points.
SFA lead TWU in points in the paint (48-24), points off of turnovers (31-12), second chance points (23-12), fast break points (26-6), bench points (40-18), field goal percentage (55.2-27.4), three-point percentage (39.3-33.3), and free throw percentage (69.6-50.0). Five Ladyjacks scored double-digit points tonight. Leading the offensive charge was Avery Brittingham who recorded a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Two-time WAC Freshman of the Week, Jordan Harrison scored 15 points, recorded six rebounds and a career-high eight assists. Zoe Nelson followed Brittingham with seven rebounds and scored a career-high 11 points. Destini Lombard finished with 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Tyler McCliment-Call scored three three-pointers for the third game in a row and recorded five rebounds and two assists.
The Ladyjacks will head to Miami for their final two non-conference games at the FIU Holiday Hoops Showdown. The first matchup will be on December 19th at 1 p.m. CT as SFA faces off against Bradley. The second matchup will be December 20th at 11 a.m. CT as SFA takes on George Mason.
