Heard Named to Buck Buchanan Award Watch List

CHICAGO, Ill. – Senior defensive back Myles Heard has been added to the watch list of the 2022 Buck Buchanan Award, which Stats Perform presents to the national defensive player of the year in college football's Division I subdivision
Heard is in the midst of a great senior season.
The Sugar Land, Texas product has totaled 57 tackles, which ranks 57th in the FCS and second overall in the ASUN/WAC. Heard is also averaging 8.4 stops per game.
Heard finished with a career-high 14 tackles versus Sam Houston and added a 13-tackle effort to go along with game-clinching interception versus Alcorn State.
More players can join the watch list before a national media panel selects the winner following the regular season. First awarded in 1995, the Buchanan includes recipients such as Dexter Coakley, Rashean Mathis, Jared Allen and Arthur Moats.
