Ladyjacks Second Half Surge Not Enough Against Redhawks

Seattle jumped out to a 5-0 lead by scoring goals in the 2nd, 19th, 21st, 41st, and 48th minutes. SFA started to surge in the final twenty minutes, starting with an amazing snipe from outside the penalty box by Carly Wyatt who got a touch on it after Avery Brandt passed her the ball. The ball got past the diving goalkeeper and went in the upper left corner of the goal. 11 minutes later, Brandt got in on the scoring herself after she received a cross from Kamryn Jiles and then kicked it into the upper part of the goal for the Ladyjacks' second goal. Mattie Musser scored the final goal of the game in her first game back from injury off of a cross into the penalty box from Ella Morgan. Musser was able to get the ball into the lower left corner of the goal.
Wyatt, Brandt, and Musser all recorded a goal in this game while Brandt, Jiles, and Morgan all recorded an assist. Jayme Bailey led the team with four shots followed by Jamie Ingrassia who recorded two shots. Lydia Sattler recorded three saves.
The Ladyjacks will continue their road trip Saturday, October 15th as they face Utah Valley at 7:00 p.m. central time.
