NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The SFA Volleyball team faced a tough test with a very polished Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball team inside Shelton Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, eventually triumphing with a 3-1 victory after an emphatic statement in the fourth set. SFA fell 23-25 in the first set, then rattled off victories of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-20 in the next three sets to snatch the victory and move above .500 for the first time this season (3-2).

Ielan Bradley had 14 kills for the 'Jakcs, who hit .279 as a team in the match, while Ariana Pagan added 13 and Taya Mitchell, 10. Bryli Contreras fired off four aces for the hot-serving Ladyjacks, while Kodi Garcia added three. Garcia led the 'Jacks with 25 assists, while MAddy Borque chipped in 20 and Alyssa Ortega, five. Contreras led the way with 12 digs, while Pagan and Ortega ended up with nine apiece.

SFA is back on the road next week, heading to Tulsa to take part in the Tulsa Invitational on September 10th and 11th.
