
Kelsey Ramirez and Ladyjack Cross Country Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

The Women's Scholar Athlete of the Year and All-Academic Individuals for the 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country season were announced earlier this month by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Senior Kelsey Ramirez was recognized as an All-Academic Individual honoree, while the Ladyjack team was also recognized for team honors.
Ramirez, a La Porte native, sports a 3.87 GPA as a Kinesiology major. She placed within the Top-5 at the Southland Conference championship and qualified by owning a cumulative GPA above 3.25. Posting a combined 3.27 GPA, the Ladyjack team qualified for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award by combining for a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
