
Hall Leads the ‘Jacks to Victory Against Wiley

The Lumberjacks took care of business Saturday as they improved to 7-2 with a 100-76 win over Wiley College.
The 'Jacks leaped out to an 8-0 lead sparked by 6 quick points from Gavin Kensmil. Sadaidriene Hall helped the team to a 58-41 advantage with 20 points and 6 rebounds with a couple of blocks in just 11 minutes of action in the first half while shooting 9-12 from the floor. The team as a whole shot 64% from the field in the first period of play and a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line.
Hall finished the game with a career-highs in points (28), rebounds (10) and blocks (5) on 13-17 shooting. It was his first career double-double. Roti Ware also had an efficient day with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists while going 3-3 from three-point range. Nigel Hawkins looked good in his first appearance of the season, picking up 10 points and 3 assists in 16 minutes of action. Gavin Kensmil went 5-6 for 12 points and David Kachelries racked up 10 points with a team-high 8 assists.
The 'Jacks were able to take advantage of Wiley miscues, turning 20 Saint turnovers into 31 points. Kensmil and company dominated inside once again, as the Lumberjacks outscored the visitors 62-40 in the paint.
The 'Jacks will now head to Fort Worth where they will take on Liberty University in the Hall of Fame Classic. The game will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11th inside Dickies Arena.
