Xavier Gipson and Chris Campos Earn TicketSmarter WAC Athletes of the Week

TicketSmarter WAC Athlete of the Week Release
DENVER, CO – SFA's Xavier Gipson and Chris Campos have earned TicketSmarter WAC Offensive and Special Teams Athlete of the Week, according to a release from the league office on Monday. Both athletes are earning the weekly honors for the second time this season.
Gipson had a career day in the victory over Dixie State, hauling in nine catches for a career-best 218 yards through the air and two touchdown receptions. Gipson scored on grabs of 14 and 60 yards on the night, and also recorded a 66-yard grab late in the contest as well. Gipson's 729 yards receiving and 121.5 yards per game both lead the conference by a wide margin, and his six receiving touchdowns also paces the WAC.
Campos also had himself a day in the victory over Dixie State, connecting on three field goals, including a career-long 53-yarder, and 4-4 PAT's in the contest. Campos also connected on field goals from 43 and 40 yards in the contest, and leads the WAC in FGM (15), FG% (83), points (72) and PATM (27-27).
