NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Rayshad Nichols has earned College Sports Madness Player of the Week honors for Week Eight of the FCS season, according to a national release on Sunday. Nichols was a key piece of the SFA defense that held Dixie State to just three first-half points en route to a comfortable 37-20 victory.
Nichols, a junior defensive lineman, registered six tackles (two TFL) and a pair of sacks in SFA's victory. The Lumberjacks recorded seven sacks in total, marking their first game with seven sacks since the 2016 season and the game against West Alabama.
