DENVER, CO -- Senior goalkeeper Madeline Talbot has earned the TicketSmarter WAC Defensive Player of the Week honor, according to a release from the league office on Monday morning. Talbot, a Shreveport, Louisiana native, was stellar in goal this week, posting a pair of shutouts and recording 13 saves as SFA strengthened its hold on the Southwest Division standings with three games left to go.
Talbot has nothing short of dominant in conference play, allowing just three goals in seven games and recording four clean sheets. She has stopped 88.5 percent of shots faced and recorded 23 saves in league play, leading SFA to a perfect 7-0-0 record in those games.
