DENVER, CO – SFA's Carli Arthurs has been named the WAC TicketSmarter Defensive Player of the Week for women's soccer, per a release from the league office on Monday morning. Arthurs, a senior, contributed heavily to a pair of SFA victories over the week, helping the 'Jacks extend their lead atop the conference's Southwest Division.
Arthurs played a major defensive role that contributed to two wins for SFA. The Lumberjacks' defense only allowed four shots made on goal in the course of two games this past week. Arthurs also made offensive contribution with a goal and an assist on Sunday's 9-1 win over Chicago State on Senior Day.
