NACOGDOCHES, Texas --
The Stephen F. Austin State Ladyjacks (12-2, 6-0 SLC) have earned its way to No. 25 in the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball NET Rankings. The NET stands for NCAA Evaluation Tool, which includes a combination of components like game results, strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin, offensive and defensive efficiency, and quality of wins and losses. The NET replaced the old RPI, which was only based off of winning percentage, average opponent's winning percentage, and average opponent's opponent's winning percentage. For more details on the breakdown of this poll, check out College Basketball's NET Rankings, Explained by NCAA's Andy Wittry.
The Ladyjacks find themselves ranked at the top in several statistical categories in NCAA Division I, leading the nation in total steals with 211 on the year. SFA has limited its opponent to only 48.8 points per game, which ranks No. 3 in the nation, behind NC AT&T and UConn. Not only have the Ladyjacks been able to read passing lanes and get stops, but they also force 24.62 turnovers per game, coming in at No. 3 in the nation as well.
