
Aiyana Johnson Named College Sports Madness Mid-Major Conference Player of the Week for Southland Conference

College Sports Madness announced its National and Conference Players of the Week Monday morning with Junior Forward/Center Aiyana Johnson making an appearance as the Madness Mid-Major Conference Player of the Week representing the Southland Conference.
Each Monday, College Sports Madness recognizes student-athletes who have had the greatest impact to their team from each conference and on a national basis.
Johnson not only put together an impressive week individually (15.0 ppg, 9.5 rpb, 2.5 apg, 2.0 bpg), but she accomplished her stats averaging 22.0 minutes per game. The Ladyjacks had a scoring margin of 42.5 over the two game span against UCA and UIW, improving to 12-2, 4-0 SLC. Johnson notched a double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) at UIW and nearly nabbed another at UCA (16 points, 9 rebounds).
