Cody Williams of SFA Football Honored as Member of 2020 Hampshire Honor Society Member

2020 NFF Hampshire Honor Society Release
IRVING, Texas -- Cody Williams of the SFA football team was recognized by the National Football Foundation as part of the 2020 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, per a national release on Wednesday. Williams was one of 1,432 players from 346 colleges and universities which were recognized by the NFF Hampshire Honor Society.
Members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must have completed their final year of eligibility in the 2019 season met all NCAA or NAIA mandated progress towards degree requirements, and have been a notable athletic contributor during the 2019 season. Additionally, a cumulative 3.2 GPA was required throughout the athletes entire course of undergraduate study.
Williams appeared in all 12 games for the Lumberjacks in 2019, hauling in 18 receptions for 153 yards. The Pearland, Texas native finished his collegiate career with a 3.82 GPA, and was a 2017 Southland Conference All-Academic Team selection. Williams was a stellar Lumberjack on and off the field, as evidenced by his appointment as the 2018 Cally Belcher Award recipient. He joins former teammate Marlon Walls as recent Lumberjack honorees by the National Football Foundation.
