Former SFA standout signs second professional contract
NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Former Ladyjack soccer standout Amanda Doyle took another step in her professional career this week, signing her second professional contract to play with K.F Villaznia Skhoder of Albania of the Albanian Women's National Championship league. The Carollton, Texas native's move follows her initial foray into professional soccer with Alamein F.C of Australia, and makes her one of nine Ladyjacks to sign professional contracts in the past six years, and the third to continue to play professionally for multiple seasons.
The 2015 Southland Conference Player of the Year, Doyle was also twice named a Southland Conference First Team Selection, and earned NSCAA All-Region Second Team honors during her standout 2015 season. Doyle was also strongly committed to hard work in the classroom, being named to Southland Academic All-Conference Teams all three seasons in which players are eligible to do so.
As an attacking center midfielder, Doyle had a career-high seven goals in both her junior and senior seasons, and finished with 20 tallies overall during her four years at SFA. She also dished out nine assists, and finished with 49 career points as a Ladyjack. Doyle started 61 of the 77 games she appeared in, and helped guide the Ladyjacks to three straight regular season championships.
