Senior finishes with two of 'Jacks' three hits
DALLAS - Senior outfielder Nick Daley delivered his eighth multi-hit game of the season by going 2-for-3 at the dish and the SFA baseball team limited Dallas Baptist to just one run through the first four innings but the Patriots' bats came alive and scored 10 runs in the home half of the fifth to secure an 11-0 seven-inning victory over the 'Jacks Tuesday night at Horner Ballpark.
Dallas Baptist launched a trio of home runs in the fifth to power its 11-hit attack while the 'Jacks collected just three hits and dropped their fourth-straight game to begin the month of May.
SCORING SUMMARY
B1 | The first of eight walks issued by Lumberjack pitchers on the night, Blayne Jones' leadoff base on balls helped the Patriots get the jump on the 'Jacks early. After swiping second base, Jones hustled to third on a single by Bryce Ball that bounced off of first base. One batter later, Jimmy Glowenke shot a 1-1 offering from Joseph Sgambelluti to right field for an RBI single that put the home team up 1-0.
B5 | After holding one of the nation's most powerful offenses in check through the first four frames, the 'Jacks fell behind by double digits as the Patriots sent 13 men to the plate in a 10-run fifth. Senior relief arm Seth Campbell started the frame with a walk before Jones added his second hit of the night - a single to center field. Ball hit the first of the Patriots' three homers in the frame by launching a 2-1 offering from Campbell past the wall in right to put Dallas Baptist up 4-0. Glowenke followed with a solo homer of his own to make matters 5-0 and SFA went to the bullpen from there. Senior right-hander Tony Grabowske started the frame by getting an out but then walked the bases loaded. Another trip to the bullpen for SFA brought freshman lefty Jaxon Covington in to get out of the inning, but before he could do so the Patriots tacked on six more runs. Andres Sosa delivered an RBI single before an RBI groundout by Herbert Iser upped the hosts' lead to 7-0. In his second at-bat of the frame, Jones fired a two-run single through the left side of SFA's infield which brought up Ball again. For the second time in the inning Ball went yard, this time taking an 0-1 pitch from Covington beyond the wall in left-center to increase the Patriots' lead to 11-0.
AT THE DISH
• Daley finished with two of the 'Jacks' three hits in his team's final non-conference game of the regular season.

• Glowecke also put forth a 3-for-5 effort while driving in a pair of runs. Three more runs were scored by Jones who finished 2-for-3 with two RBI and a walk.
• Dallas Baptist's first three hitters in the order went 8-for-11 with six runs and seven RBI between them.
